Thoughts on Recession, Recovery & Opportunity

Administered by the Alaska Federation of Natives, Native Insight is a competition open to Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and American Indians of all ages.  The competition is intended to tap into the wisdom and ingenuity of Native communities, and encourage Native thinkers to go public with their perspectives on the current economic and political landscape.  Native individuals or collaborative teams are invited to  submit an original written work addressing selected questions regarding the economic challenges facing the nation.  The authors of the top three Alaska Native essays and the top three national essays (from American Indians or Native Hawaiians) will each be awarded $10,000 in prize money.  The submission deadline is September 15, 2009.  Visit the website to learn more about the competition.  NativeInsight.org
